I just had on of the best lessons ever on Ryder! I rode him English today and that really helped. He was pretty wired in the beginning, but soon settled in to a great frame. He even went over two trot poles really well! He isn't the smoothest over those, and he doesn't have a promising career as a hunter. I am very excited for this show season and I wish it would hurry up and get here!

A friend of my brother's is going to teach in Africa for six months. I get to ride her awesome six year old Thoroughbred while she's gone. He is very dark bay, almost black and he's 16.3 hands. He has a huge stride that I'll have to get used to, but I think we're going to have fun! The only requirement is that I take lessons on him. That works out great because he's a dressage horse and I have never taken dressage lessons. I am really excited to get started!
