- I love Standardbreds! I've had my Standardbred mare for 10 years, I got her as a 2 year old. She never raced due to an injury she sustained in her paddock prior to starting her career.
Together Annabelle and I are hunters! She loves to jump, but recently I've slowed her down in that respect and started to do more trail riding - she is naturally gaited so she is well suited to trail riding, not to mention her bold and brave typical Standardbred personality.
I also have her colt, Admiral Boom - who was born June 28th of 2004. Growing like a bad weed - litterally he is 18 months and 15hh, he and I will probably take on the hunter scene once he is old enough. His sire is a QH, Tuffernlove.
