I believe your 135 "L" is a 72mm lens. A 72 to 77mm adaper ring (very low cost) should make it all possible!

Yeah, but he's a pretty good photographer! I think you have adaptor rings confused with extension tubes. An adaptor ring screws onto the end of your lens and allows you to use a larger diameter (77mm) filter on a smaller diameter (72mm) lens, where an extension tube fit between the camera and lens to move the lens farther from the camera to allow a shorter focusing distance. If you have a camera store in your area that the pros use, stop by with your camera and have them show you the 500D Close-up lens. It's a lot less expensive than a 100mm Macro lens!

Yeah, five grand is a bit much with the economy the way it is right now. How about a way to make that 135 "L" lens of yours a close up lens? I just posted some really neat vids by Photographer and Author Bryan Peterson on the What's New page of our website, www.unique-photography-concepts.com/new.html. Check out the one on "Cheap" close-up lens. Looks like it has a 77mm diameter, but that's what adaptor rings were made for!

Hey Angie J! Thanks for the nice comments on my images The lens in my profile shot is a Canon EF "L" 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS USM. Great zoom telephoto for photographing Wild Horses but alittle slow for for really overcast days and mornings and evenings My all-around favorite lens is the Canon EF "L" 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM. It's fast and image stabilized for low light work at 200mm. At 70mm, a great lens for environmental and portrait work. Canon has just released a new f/2.0 version of this lens but with a street price of $5,300.00, the economy is going to have to get a lot better for me to add this one to my gear bag!

NO I haven't. I did try some pics but they didn't 'capture' her movement well
Perhaps you can help me though.. I'm having alot of trouble keeping weight on her. Is that normal for the breed? She eats 2x what my others eat and is what I would suggest quite skinny.

Thank you! She's really a good girl. Her only issue is that she's seriously herdbound but I'm working with her to get her to trust me to take her away from them & see that she's safe with me. It's taking time but I'm willing to stick with her
