As for his papers...I have no idea what lines he is from. The mare I got from a lady in MO who bought her from an arab farm in Topeka, Kansas. The guy told her that she had papers, but since she was a repo from a lady who hadn't paid board, that she couldn't have the papers. I called him numerous times trying to get an owners name, with no avail. Very dissapointing. Blah. The sire...well....he was SUPPOSED to be a gelding! We took in him last summer, he was about 200lbs underweight and his hooves were AWFUL!! He had been neglected for many years. The vet estimated him to be 40+years old, by his teeth, or lack of! Well, I saw him doing the 'nasty' to my mares, but just thought that he was a frisky gelding. Not so....he was a 1/2 gelding, with one hidden testicle. I noticed late last fall that Conta(the mare) hadn't come into heat in a long time, and that he 'looked' a little different down there. So next time the vet came out...I had him check them both out. YUP....he's not a complete gelding. He has now moved onto a new home, and he is living out the rest of his life with two older mares who can't get pregnant(but from what I hear....those three are educating the neighborhood children in s.ex ed!) The lady that I got him from, bought him from some people who moved 8 years ago, and they were supposed to drop off his papers, and never did. She said she saw his papers, but the husband wasn't there to sign off on the. Sooo.....long answer for a short question. I have no idea what his lineage is. | |
