Meet Lizzie

We were offered a free mare off the track through our chiro who has a few race horses. She was boarding the mare at a farm and hadn't seen her in a year. We went to pick up the mare and the farm was in horrible condition. The horses were all outside in small pastures with no hay/grass and all very skinny. We didn't even think twice about bringing Lizzie home.

She is 4yrs old, didn't make it on the track but came off sound. She is in need of lots of groceries and she has a lot of rain rot but she is a major sweetie-pie. She has a huge appetite and is enjoying the food but isn't agressive. She loves to be groomed and is so quiet about everything. They said she was too scared on the track to race so she might be apprehensive undersaddle but we will take everything one step at a time. She wont be ridden until we get her fattened up anyways so she will have time to calm down. Her only issue right now is stall walking but the weather is turning so hopefully when we open her window up she will stop that.

Nothing special, but she is a BIG girl! At least 16.3hh at 4yrs.

A big sweetie, she has SO much personality and very happy.

Haha, hopefully her head will be nicer when all that hair sheds out!

Oh, I bet she will be something special! She just needs some lovin' and groceries. She's a lucky girl that you took her home. :-)

She's gonna be a pretty gilr!! Her head does look big though, but maybe because she need's some TLC and groceries.
