| Full Member | it probably wont be too long. is this her first baby? she is way more pointy in the pic from today compared to three days ago. that means the baby is getting into postion, butt down and front end coming up. is her bag that full in the evening still? she is at the same stage as my mare right now. my mare is a maiden though, her milk is also kinda see through yellow. right before they foal it turns white, but as far as i know that varies mare to mare. |

| Full Member | answers to some questions Yes her bag is probably fuller in the evening than throughout the day. She is a maiden mare, and you are right she really is more pointy. Her vulva is really swollen today and the inside is a darker scarlet color. She breathing very heavily. Thanks for the reply maybe we can PM and compare notes! ![]() Last night udders. |

| Full Member | Hello She was doing the labor dance all evening, swishing her tail, kicking at her tummy, looking at her tummy, even sweating.. Her backend is still sooo loose she fumbles when she walks.. you can shake it like jello. Her vulva is really loose too.. and still NO BABY.. Her udder is still very full and still a touch of wax on the nipples, and its shiny which is new since yesterday. Other than that, she is acting NON pregnant again this morning.. talk about giving us fits! Thanks for the update.. Guess its a race to the finish! Oh the crease in her bag is really filling also, and her nipples are turning down. Didnt check her milk this morning as I was down there by myself, and she really protests.. LOLOLOL Is the milk supposed to be sticky? white or yellow? Seems every site online says something different.. I guess when the foal comes the answer will be there! This mornings pic of udders ![]() Its really nice to have someone to share with.. !!! THANK YOU! Last edited by breezebayou; 04-11-2007 at 07:09 AM. Reason: added pic |

| Full Member | two hours ago when i fed and locked up i gave my mare a good once over again too. she now has very cloudy milk that comes out easy. she also had SLIGHT amount of wax forming. she is currently eating her dinner (we are watching our tv in the bedroom) but she keeps pivoting around kicking at her belly and flipping her tail up inbetween bites. hopefully your mare will go tonight! goodluck! |

| Senior Member+ | Ummmm...I wouldn't be milking her to check her milk...she needs that left alone. She has colostrum in her first milk for the baby, and if you milk it all out 'looking' at her milk that isn't a good thing. I hope all is ok with her-I would keep an eye on her.
