Question medieval names for a dun horse

Hello guys im writing a medieval horse story and basing one of the horses off my horse butterscotch who is a dun grade gelding. Id like a name that reflects his color but also pertaining to medieval ages style names. Any suggestions?

Renissance? Renni for short.

Rowan - Old Norse for "tree"
Conall - Celtic for "strong as a wolf"
Kegan - Celtic for "fiery"
Celer - Roman for "swift"
Eachann - Scottish Gaelic name composed of the elements each "horse" and donn "brown," hence "brown horse." Not real inventive, but it works, right?
Embarr - Irish Gaelic for "imagination"
Im Fuisce - VERY rough literal Irish Gaelic for "butterscotch" LOL
And finally - Shadowfax - stallion from Lord of the Rings trilogy. He was silver, not dun, but hey - it's a cool name nonetheless. Would plagiarism issues come into play, I wonder???

Dun is also a type of medieval fort/castle...
So relating to that...

Brythonic Din
Brythonic
Din Eidyn // Dun Eidyn
Dundee
Dunfirmline
Dunbarton
Donegal // Dunegal
Singidun
Lugdunum
Noviodunum
Eburodunum
Verodunum
Barnby Dun
Doncaster // Duncaster
Ringill

And other, potentially midievally names (but still, somehow, related to Dun)...

Said and Dun
Ariége
Dun-le-Poelier // Le-Poelier
St. Kilda
Thuringia
River Dun
The Consort Dun
Dunsinane
Dun Adramadio // Adramadio
Dunsmore
Verdun

Or if we stretch the truth a bit, and say Dun is golden, then these related...

Berkshire // Berkley
Leaves of Gold

Thanks guys these are good names, so far I like Xanthos, Shadowfax, uhm maybe I should name him something that has to do with his speed or something? They seem to do that in medieval stories.

Xanthos might be better than Shadowfax, depending on what you're doing with your story (like, who will be reading it). Because
a) Shadowfax has already been used for the most famous horse in the most famous series of all time;
b) In the medieval times, the name Shadowfax probably wasn't around.
But who knows?

Some names pertaining to speed...

Swiftfoot
Speedwell
Windspeed
Quick Silver (I believe that this was the period term for the element mercury, maybe)
Silver Arrow // Straight Arrow

PM me if you ever went any help/suggestions on your story- I love proof-reading, editing, (but beware, I've got a thick red pen), brainstorming, etc... let me know!
