Maximum Tobiano? (Show me please?)

I know that a minimal Tobiano will have four white socks and usually has a little bit of white either in the tail or near the withers, crossing the back somewhere basically.

But I'm curious, what does a Maximum Tobiano look like? Is there such a thing?

one with a colored head and an all white body would be a maxium tobi, I think.

I too would love to see a truly maxed out one. All the "max" ones I've seen still have some flank and chest coloring. A Tobi-only will indeed have a solid head, but it's so rare to find a Tobi that doesn't also have Sabino or Splash (giving face white), I'd be surprised if a picture can be found. I'd love to see it though!

um..this is so far the closest I could find for a "maximum" tobiano:

That turned out to be a HUGE picture, so I linked it instead!

Or this guy?

All these are given that the first one has sabino.....and the second one...splash?

I agree. I have seen a VERY FEW, but there were really old blood from about 15 years ago and already had some age on them. Most of the "Tobiano's" of today all have some form of face white.

Both of those have facial white so there is an overo gene present.

I went looking and found a few:

APHA

APHA

Mini

think APHA

TWH

Spotted Saddle X TWH

Mini

AQHA

There, I found a very few and some are much louder than other, but not minimal.

*sigh* Yes, and that is why I didn't call them max, just stated they were not minimal. I was showing them for this:

Just showing some tobi's that do not have face white and are not minimal since I agreed with JB on the lack of many.

LOL Why would they not be normal? The point was they may not have any other gene but tobiano playing in the mix. What is an abnormal tobiano?
