Mathew from POLAND needs urgent help !!!

Mathew is around 18 years old cold blooded gelding.

Few days ago somebody post up him on the internet auction. Here you can see the advertisement. The auction has been finished but probably you can see / check it for few days more: http://www.allegro.pl/item702414905_mily_kon_na_sprzedaz.html.
I’ve decided to buy him and safe his live. I found the way to collect around 650 USD - the price of the horse. I’ve found a horse-carrier for free. When I’ve arrived to the place where Mathew lived, he was standing in his “cage”. The “proud” owner has told me that Mathew was carrying the heavy wood from the forest few months, ago. And the main problem was… the owner didn’t see any problem in that! So… what I did, I’ve paid a cash, took Mathew and started go back to our city - his new home. When we arrived Mathew was played-out so I called a vet. At first, he decided to give him an injection with “vitamins bomb” and anti-worms paste.

Today it’s a third day of cutting his long coat. Slowly, step by step, we cut (by the nail scissors) dry and stinky old **** glued to his skin, too. My friend promised me to borrow the clippers from his stable, after few days. Now we can’t wash or bath Mathew. It’s too cold and we have no warm water in the place where we are.

At the moment I’m waiting also for the blacksmith who promised to give me a discount for his work, too.

But… the most important now is – provide Mathew more power. It’s a kind of problem because he had never ate anything beside the fresh grass and carrots. He even doesn’t want to try a sugar. Now, Mathew is standing in the stable where we have to pay just for his food and bedding. The owner of the stable gave me a discount, so… I’ll have to pay 130 USD per month. I would like to keep Mathew and take care of him for the next two / three months until he will be better. After that time I’m going to carry him to horse shelter (now, they don’t want to take him because of his condition). The urgent / immediate bills are… 1/ stable – 130 USD, 2/ second dose of anti-worms paste + teeth saw + vaccination – around 100 USD, 3/ blacksmith – around 15 USD (after discount). Maybe there is someone who would like to help Mathew? Maybe there is a company which produce meds or vitamins for horses (these kind of products should be liquid, NOT powder. Because liquid we can give him directly – by syringe – into his mouth)? Maybe someone has got the old horse blanket, something for dandruff or decay hoofs? Maybe someone of you has got few seconds to copy that letter (text) with images and send it to the horse organizations or horse companies or… just send it to the people who love the horses? I know that Poland, me and Mathew are far a way from you! I know also that you have thousands of horses which need to be rescue, too! Although I hope there will be anybody who decide to help Mathew. I’ll provide you – systematically – on the forum, the new information and images of Mathew. If someone has any questions, please contact with me (sophie@poczta.fm). Me and Mathew sending the best greetings for all of you!

This is a picture on the base which I’m comparing Mathew and the other horse (very similar breed from my neighbor). That’s can show you a different.

We've only one big horse shelter in Poland where we're planning to get Mathew after two/three months (like I said). They don't want to take him now because of the condtiton of shelter this month. We had a kind of storm in Poland - this month - which destroyed around 30% of shelter. That's the reason. I don't blame them. They have a terrible situation, too. They need a time to stand up.

Can you share with us the name of the shelter and maybe a web address if they have one? I have found only one rescue that speaks of taking in horses from Poland and it is not in Poland
