Well you know they could wait like a month or so before shipping the foal When I adopted my boy I signed the paperwork and mailed my money in Sept but they did not ship him until Nov. to help me save up the money for the shipping fee
Oh and back when I adopted my boy I remember that the shipping fee to your area was only like $75 - $100! But again it all depends on the number of horses on the load going to your area (the more horses the cheaper the fee's).

Hmm..

Someone can truly rescue a foal from an auction for under $100.00 these days.. While I understand these agencies need to make money, I don't quite understand why these foals will be heading to a feedlot? Or the mares for that matter...

**off to read the website**

I guess these chunky monkeys are selling because of their colour, half draft breeding.. If I remember correctly there is a farm out of Manitoba that intentionally breeds these larger draft crosses with colour to sell as rescue/sport horse projects... Adopting/Selling yearlings for over $1000.00

Wow no kidding?! I've never heard of that but it sadly makes sense. That's awful! People think that they are "rescuing" a horse in need and all they're really doing is adding to the horse overpopulation problem by keeping these so called breeders in business

I'd love to go to our local auction, but the market is so poop, I've got to wait another month.

They are still there! Go to the website and click on the tab on the top of the page that say's adoptable horses or some thing like that and then go down to adopt a Canadian horse and you will find them there
