Mare close to foaling... when do you think she will pop?? PICS BABY IS HERE!!!

When do you think she will foal? We do not have a breeding date for her, but IMO she is due very soon, what do you think?? All pics taken today, milk is from today to. Got pics and the milk around 1pm.

I am definitely no breeding expert, but here is what I think, if I am wrong please correct me.

I think that she still looks like the baby is forward, not carrying forward yet. Her bag is looking pretty full now though, so I can't say. I would say be carefull about taking her milk, as you could remove the colostrum I think. Do you have any pics of her "Girl Parts"? I think those also help to determine when. Good luck with her!

Agreed. Dont "milk her", if those are drippings then its alright. But the first milk is the most important thing for a foal to recieve.

If the muscles around her tail are beginning to relax & her vulva is slightly swollen, its only a matter of days.

That small amount is not enouph to hurt the amount of colostrum the foal gets.

Went out and checked mare, we moved her into a foaling stall as she is dripping milk and getting very hot and sweaty. Think we gonna have a foal tonight !!

It doesn't look like she's really dropped the foal into position yet. Her hind end does look like it's getting soft though, and she's got a large bag.
