Marcel Toulouse?

I'm looking at getting a Marcel Toulouse saddle package. It comes with, leathers, bridle, reins, and a girth. All for $900 plus shipping.

I was wondering what are your likes/dislikes of the brand? I'm planning on getting the celine saddle. What kind of position does it put you in? I'm thinking about getting a 'wide' tree for my Arab cross. How do you tell if a saddle fits?

Anything else I should know about the brand?

I don't have that model but I LOVE my Toulouse saddle! I only have the saddle (I have the Premie CC) and leathers though, you'll have to let me know about the bridle! I've heard the girth isn't as nice as the saddle/leathers but still good.

I sat in a Celine and they seemed nice, but I had my heart set on the Premie.

I have a Celine. I won't be of much help however, because I've yet to ride in it!
I sat in it once though and the leather feels nice, my only complaint is that it's a bit wide for me, which is uncomfortable. I probably should have a 16" but the smallest they went was 16.5".

I absolutely LOVE my Toulousse saddle. I have the Premia and I get so many compliments on it. The leather is super soft and felt broken in from the first day. I love it for jumping it makes me feel very secure! The Premia tends to make me ride in a more forward position. I just adore it for jumping, but I do kind of want a different saddle for just flat work.

I'm not sure about the Celine. I've also ridden in a differnt style - I think it was called a Genero? I liked that one too. I would definitely buy a Toulousse again!

I personally really like the Marcel Toulouse saddles and are affordable, but you still get quality and a pretty saddle

I have never personally ridden in the Celine, but it looks like a very forward flap, but also looks like it's very secure. I read through the reviews that I found here and you can see for yourself that everyone that bought one seems to really like it.

As for saddle fit, I would have a professional saddle fitter out.

I had a bad experience with the Toulouse I bought.... BUT, some of my friends have them and they are great. I think mine was just defective. Which model is it?

I'm planning on doing mostly flatwork, and showing in Hunter Pleasure on the arab circuit. Do you think that the Celine would put me in a good equitation position?

I would say yes. I have a saddle very similar to the design of the Celine (but it's synthetic), and I likey the position it puts me in.

I think so. I have a Celine and I find it puts me in a very natural and correct position. I also think it's super comfortable.
