Magic Had Her Baby!!!!!! IT'S A COLT

Ok, for referance, see my threads:
Pregnant Mare.....
Some history on her

So.... it has been 6 weeks since the vet said she would proabably go in about 4-5 weeks. Vet was out to see her @ our friends house Friday, told them soon, she was waxing just a tiny bit. Well, she had the baby today, middle of the morning @ around 10! We didn't get there in time for the birth, because we were busy and about 3 hours away, but went over and saw them this afternoon!

Cute, black? stud colt, my friend's little boy named him Snickers!
Also, compared to the pictures in the other thread, isn't she looking great! I thought her weight would drop a good bit once she had it, since she was skinny throughout most of her pregnancy.

Anyways, she got milk ok, baby came out with no problems, so that was a relief. Nursed, peed, and pooped. So they have the vet coming out in the morning to check out him and Magic!

Is he black, grey?
Stud is gray, mare is bay!

Looks black to me. May go gray, but I don't see anything that screams gray yet. CUTE!

Thank ACC, I hadn't been able to go see Magic, and I was so pleased with how good she is looking!

Things look good, nice looking colt. I hope they both get the vets approval tomarrow with a clean bill of good health.

I dunno what the heck color he is--all I know is that he sure is pretty

Man...that's so cool! He's such an interesting color...I hope he keeps that when he gets big, but who knows. Maybe he'll be even cooler, if possible, when he grows up

i think he will be black, but thats not set in concrete, he may develop grey hairs whilst shedding and gradually become grey. he doesn't have the grey around eyes as of yet which is a good indicator of grey foal, but still may go grey.

Thanks everyone... He is so frisky and curious....

It was so funny, they said when he first drank, he had milk all over his nose, and then he layed down in the stall and had sdhaving stuck to his mouth!
