Thoroughbreds? I've admired them my entire life. Their strength, intelligence, courage, athleticism, and wonderful worth ethic. I speak mostly of OTTBs because we have one and he's nothing short of amazing. They are great companions!

As for Arabians... I think they are the most beautiful and love how versatile they are. They can do anything! I hate the breed bashers who speak like all of them are so horrible. They are very intelligent horses.

After getting Kota, I fell in love with appys. Her personality was awesome, and she was a great horse. The breed has everything I want: versatility, hardiness, intelligence, and SPOTS! I do have to say I'm fond of the more modern bred appys, but they all have a soft spot in my heart. IMO, you can't go wrong with an appy.

Also, friesians. I know nearly every horse person fantasizes about them, but my neighbor bred some fantastic friesians and got me hooked. Their gentleness and softness, movement, and of course beauty draws me to them. How can you look at this horse (the mare that made me love the bred, Jitske) and NOT fall in love?

I love all breeds.
But my two favorites are Morgans and Arabians.
Mix them together, and you get my horses

And no, I didnt pick my horses because of their breed, its just how it worked out.

I love Morgans because of how versitile they are. I find them just amazing horses. They try their heart out for you.

Arabians are just fun. Lol. They add a little spazz and spunk to anything. They are not all crazy, but they are great horses when they want to be. Verrry great endurence and so gracefull.

So that is why My favourite mix of horses of all time is the Morab

Morabs are a close second behind TB's for me. The little gelding I just sold before I got Banner was a morab; he had an amazing disposition.

I love morgans because.....well, for a lot of reasons! They have so much personality, I love their build. They look like they could do twice the work a lot of other horses could do, and still be rarin' to go.

My second favorite breed is Peruvian Pasos. I don't own one, but someday.....I love them because they're so unique. No other breed of horse moves like them.

I have to say I fell in love with my oldenburg when I watched him trot- he has such a beautiful, floaty trot. And when I sat on him it was heaven- like riding a cloud. His canter was to die for as well.

He has the best mind of pretty much any horse I have owned- he is so sensible and actually thinks about situations and can be talked in or out of things.

And then I found out he has a great jump hidden in there as well!! So I am totally sold on the breed.

Simpson the QH. I leased him when I was a kid... he was my horse before *MY* horse, you know? I had the best time on that horse... he was my protector, my friend, and the best animal a girl could ever ask for. I spent many an afternoon galloping in a halter and leadrope and nothing else.

Clydesdales. Once you harness one up (or 2 or 3 or 4.....) life just doesn't get any better. Wonderful disposition from day 1, versatile, and will never give up on you.

My first experience with Morgans was when I was little. I was looking at some world class Morgan driving horses and when I was asked what I thought about them I said they have big heads I don't like them. LoL. Now today one of my favorite aspects of the breed is their expressive broad face.

I love baroque body types in horses and the old type Morgans look very baroque. More importantly though I LOVE their personalities. I have never before met a breed where the vast majority have that in-your-pocket attitude. These are the friendliest horses I've ever met.

I also love how hardy they are. I love that they don't typically go lame fast, I love that their hooves are so strong and I love that they are easy keepers.

I love how they are calm and reliable but yet still have that fire in their eye. Ready for a fast gallop or a flashy trot at any moment.

I love too how versatile they are and how willing and ready they are to work. They are just a breed that is a joy to work with.
