Yeah maybe I'll try that
I've gotta try and get emily to call her and ask them to see if they can give her to a rescue

You could ask the woman if she would let you work with the filly, and docter it. But with the condition,if the filly gets better, you have the option to buy her at a certain price, that is cheap. Or later, get a baby from her.

There are ways to deal with it, the best is to treat it quickly which obviously didn't happen, however I believe every horse needs a second chance. I bought my first guy after he came to the barn, you couldn't put a saddle on him and he could barely walk, the vets had no idea if he was ever going to be ridden again, 5 years later and he was getting champtionship ribbons and blues over novice and advance fences. He was my miracle boy. But I firmly believe every horse deserves a second chance, and if you have the finances to help the foal I wish you the best of luck! (You can also try contacting some local vets, or animal rescue programs for funding, I bet you could find someone to help out!)

Sorry didn't have time to read a bunch of the posts, try contacting local vets and rescues, I'm sure some one would be willing to get the doctoring the filly needs and then move her to a good home.

Did they put her down yet?!
If not, maybe your mom will let you take her 'till you can find a home for her. Contact some rescues.
Darn, where do you live? I may be willing to take her. I'll PM you

hun, i am so sorry. But, being a pretty independant child, i KNOW or have a guess as to why moms say no.

-It's unridable
-You could get your heart broke over it
-the vet bills, who knows how high...

most of all, she does care about teh filly, but you come first, she doesn't want YOU to get hurt over this whole ordeal. Try to keep that in mind
