Just wondering how good it really works maggie's scratched half her mane out and I wanted to use it to help it grow back in. all the knats have been biting her and making her scratch. It's funny but they don't bother Dandy at all and Maggie they just eat to pieces. While I'm at it do you know of anything to keep the knats off her? the poor girl's misrable. Thanks

I've heard MTG words wonders. There is an article that says it also helps with the coat. I'm unsure if it helps with gnats, but I usualy just put a fly tape, reminds me of a fruit roll-up, where she spends her time most. I've got two. One in her stall and the other up in a tree in the pasture. Sure, a little over the top, but it was so hot this summer and the flies are still here. Ahrg!

I <3 MTG.
Make sure your horse isn't allergic to it, though. It's kinda rare that they are, but of course you want to help their skin/mane/tail/etc. not harm it.
I have used it for sweet itch and to help my horse's mane and tails grow out - works great, in my opinion.

what is mtg? the video isin't working...my hunter has sweet itch, but I bathe him weekly with ez-all (amazing stuff) and skin so soft with twice daily grooming...he doesn't rub much hair out at all any more, he used to rub his entire mane out. now he just rubs a little out on his chest, and I'm hoping next spring he won't even do that. Plus, with all the grooming, he's incredibly shiny!

I love MTG, I use it on my Morgan's mail and tail to keep it looking nice. Be warned though, it smells kind of gross (like BBQ or bacon grease..eeewwwwww)

I have a mare that came to us so itchy she would break posts and rub herself raw. So I bathed her really really well and started using MTG on her and now she doesn't rub and her mane and tail are growing back and looking really great.
