Lump between front legs

I just noticed the other day that my new gelding, Gideon, has a lump between his front legs. I have not noticed this before, and it is pretty noticeable. You can see it when he walks. It is a little bigger than a large egg, and it is not rock hard, but pretty firm. It does not seem to bother him. What could this be? Should I be concerned?
Thanks!
Katie

I noticed this two days ago, went out yesterday and kinda poked it a bit to see if it was tender to the touch, and now I just came in and it is gone.....strange!

Daisy gets those all the time (conveniently before shows! HAHA) It's because she's a pushy pants in the field and always gets kicked..... sometimes it can be bug bites/horse bites too.
