Thumbs up *LoTs n LoTs of Jumping PiCs*

Well here are pics of last week's lesson, on Rion. . .
I know I know.. I need to keep my butt in my seat. My position is still bad but I'm gettin' there!!

And yesterday I rode a horse I haven't ridden in quite a while. A 18yr old TB mare named Starfleet. Her mama was out of town so Jeanette (my trainer) let me ride her in my lesson. She was a . . . . really moody mare. And the idiots that live on the corner where working on their front yard during my lesson...with their LOUD machines. It's bad enough that the horses hate the "scary corner" but good grief . . . Starfleet kept taking off, crowhoping, she bucked once or twice and was being so sooo naughty. So I got off her and chased her, letting her run it all out. When I got back on her she was still being naughty so I made her work. We had blinkers on her too but they didnt help much like they usually do. She settled down when we started jumping, Thank GOD. She was still trying to bolt and did a few times over a few jumps, lol and my postion was actually good when she did.

I know these pics aren't that great and I really need to KEEP MY BUTT IN THE SEAT and stay down more..that's my bad habbits =\

It was OK, I guess. I'm having another lesson tomorrow where I'll be riding Starfleet again. She's one of the reasons why I know I wouldn't ever buy a mare. I have enough estrogen of my own, I don't need a Moody Mare's either, lol.

I also just noticed I'm ahead of the horse in a few of the pics, as if I'm gonna jump them For him/her. I need to get out of these bad habbits!!

I'm sure you'll get it!!! Make sure Starfleet knows you're in charge tomorrow, don't let her acut up! I'm lucky Rikki isn't moody at all. Just remember when you jump, keep your heels down, wrap your legs around the horse (use your thighs and calfs and rest your knees on the saddle), keep your hip angle closed, this should also help you stay in the middle of your saddle. Good Luck tomorrow!!!! Have fun, and get pics!

I'm good on keeping my heels down and keeping my legs around the barrel, it's just one of my good habbits, lol. She knows who is in charge, she was just being a snot since the idiot neighbors where working out in their front yard with big and loud machines that scare the cr.ap out of her. It's just an excuse for her to spook but I don't put up with that and I make her work her butt off if she acts up.

I always get pics of my lessons :P I like to see what I'm doing. If there's an extra person out there, which I believe there will be, I'll see if I can get someone to record.
