Unhappy Loping & transitions

My horse is getting very good at the walk- canter transition but S.UCKS at the canter- walk transition. That ruins are shows. I just show for fun but I dont want something as little as that making or breaking it .

She canters but very fast. She will go slow in circles and turns but show arenas are usually rather large and she goes quite fast.

#1 . How do I get her canter- walk transition better?
#2. How do I slow down her canter to a lope , I dont want a 4 beat lope just a nice slow lope ?

Thanks

Make sure you are using all of your aids when you ask her to slow down. Sit very deep into the saddle and you could try raising your hand a bit for leverage in her mouth. Teach her voice commands like "easssy", by using your aids and saying it at the same time. You also cant completely have spaggetti reins, make sure you can still feel her. Teach her to come down from the canter by sitting deep and raising your hand, then say firmly but calmly "Walllllk". Lunge her as well, and use your aids on the ground and your voice, to teach her whos boss. You also said " i dont want a 4 beat lope". You do want 4 beats, you just want to get them more close together. Also try working with your trainer, if you have one, and they might have some ideas. Hope i helped
