Thanks guys, but we are actually wanting to do all of the re-hab ourselves instead of adopting from a rescue as I did with my mare moondust. I guess what I'm actually looking may be considered a feedlot rescue? We are looking for a horse that will end up being used for trail only. It doesn't have to be a rescue horse, but we are definately open to that option. I'm just wanting to keep my feelers out to all possibilities, as we'd love to save one if possible.

What about trying to find an auction to go to? These days, there are several neglected horses ending up there.

That is too true. I thought about that. Is there a way to look up auctions that are coming up in your local area online? I'm sure there has to be, I'm going to go look now. Be back on soon.
