Looking for exercises

Howdy ya'll,

I want to pick your brains and see if anyone has some good exercises for bringing a horse back into work. You see, she is a rescue who has finally re-gained enough weight and I want to bring her back up to par slowly. She is an angel under saddle even though she hasn't been ridden in about two years. I've limited her ridding time and I'm basically doing a good deal of transitions, and just building her general stamina at the moment. She is quite flexible for her past condition and lack of riding time to my surprise but I would like to work on strengthing her and especially her topline. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Try longing and/or round penning, that will help build muscle and stamina.

Lots of transitions builds up butt muscle, so I've heard.

Also working up and down hills will help
