![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That's exactly the reason you SHOULD NOT breed your mare. The horse market is bad enough without adding pointless breedings to the mix. GOOD bloodlined AQHA and APHA weanlings are going as low as $150. You haven't stated any good reason to breed your mare. So why add to the problem? |

| Senior Member+ | i thought you wanted to sell the foal cheaply as a weanling? why then would you want to buy a different foal? Lou

| Senior Member+ | Unless you get the Pinto coloring your going to end up with a breeding stock registered Pinto too...and honestly there is NO market for them unless they are double registered with another breed association and of excellent quality! Sorry, but that's the truth.... frown

| Senior Member+ | so if you breed 2 registrered QH's and the foal comes out with a pinto pattern it can't be registered as a QH?? I never knew that! I though it would be a QH with pinto coloring... had no idea it had to be registered as a paint |

| Senior Member+ | No, 2 Quarter Horse parents that make a horse with any white where it shouldn't be by guidelines cannot be registered as a Quarter Horse. But it can be registered as a Paint. A friend of mine's stud is like that, father was a sorrel, mother was a chestnut, he came out a sorrel with a splash of white on his shoulder. That didn't fit into the Quarter Horse guidelines, so he's a registered Paint.
