| Senior Member+ | You don't have to register the baby. Sure their are benefits but you can still get a quality foal that can't be registered. I'm sure we've all seen grad horses that look beautifull and purebreds that look terrible. Judging from the look of that foal you have you got a good one from that mare. She looks very nice for being that young, many times you see foals and they don't look like they are put together right yet, but grow up to be beautiful (or ugly). And you were lucky enough to get one that is pretty from the very begining. CONGRATS. I wouldn't be afraid to breed that mare again to a nice stallion. Especially if her temperment is right. If you want to breed for color that's fine just don't be dazzled by the color and forget temperment and conformation. I'm sure you wouldn't forget anyways, I just had to say it. GOOD LUCK! |

![]() | Yes you can have a tobino registered qh all you need is to have the parents to be registered qh the color is not what makes a qh its the breeding lines. Plus you can also register the colt as both paint and qh the reason i know this is that my uncle has his registerd as both. |

| Senior Member | sorry ...last times' stud got gelded. This time I want something stocky looking. I would love a paint or tabiano or w/e the heck you guys call it. The reason I think i'll breed to this stud is because my dad is friends with the owner and it will be cheap. My mare is an awsome mother, she even taugh the above filly to unly poop in one corner .. lol. anyways i can just walk mom down the rd to breed her...no trouble you? I just want a backyard horse. |

![]() | i bred my grey arabian with a paint qt horse and we got a beautiful paint/arab. I don't know what his marking would be called he is half brown and half white with a black strip in his mane and tail and a black mark on his back leg. I was told I could register with the arabian or the paint. Anyways the man that had the paint we breed with said what to look for in a stud paint is see how many foals he throws that are paint compared to solid. His as of last year average 21 paint and 1 solid. Lots of luck |
