Look at what we rescued today, and it is not a snake

Coming home just on dark, middle of nowhere, blind hill with a curve and here this was trotting along the centre line with determination.

Speed limit being a hundred k's didn't give it much chance of survival without us picking it up. Had to go down the road, find somewhere to do a turn and go back. Then it was ignoring me, and kept trotting along. I was really concerned someone would come and wipe it out with the kids watching.

Eventually co-erced it over to me, put a lead on it that I always carry in the car. It looked a bit snappy when I tried to pick it up, but luckily didn't. It was panting so hard and looked like it had travelled a distance.

It is wearing a rego tag for the next city along the road so will ring in the morning in an effort to re-unite it with it's owners. Stopped at the shop near there and put an ad up tonight, poor thing will be missing it's owners.

Is it full moon time again? Did the cereal truck overturn and fruitloops got spilt?

Poor baby! Hope you can find his owners and that they are missing him. Would be a shame if they had dumped him!

He's cute!

I wish there were more people like you that will go the extra mile to rescue the dog and try and find his owners.

I hope this story has a happy ending where his owners are found - as long as they're nice people who love him that is!

You are a good samaritan. I'm sure you'll be able to reunite him with his family.

If you don't find his owners...Chick and Sam will have their own palomino dog. He looks like a good dog once he settles in. He was taken care of befoer he got lost. that is a good sign.

oh im so glad you stopped to pick it up, i would of done the same i could not bare to see anything left like that, i hope you find the owners, i can remember i saw this man hit a cat with his car and he just drove off and i couldnt bare to leave it there as it was still alive so i took it to the vets it was ok in the end, i cant believe anyone could hit anything and carry on as normal, even if i hit a bird i would have to stop i would feel so guilty.

im just glad he didnt get hit by a car well done chester we need more people like you,

oh i remember i saw a dog running down the lane by the stables in the dark so i stopped picked it up then the owners came out and shouted but that dog should not of been out on its own.

He is a she. She is spending the night in the bathroom as I really do not know what my 2 cattle dogs would make of her.

She is only small, terrier x chichauau perhaps. Seems well mannered.

She is not staying here for life. I already have 2 dogs and if I got a third it would hopefully not be an elderley looking dog.

If I cannot find her owner, then she will be rehomed. I don't have inside dogs, they live out and I don't think she would enjoy that life.
