me too

we just got a mare...not as a rescue...but it seemed she needed one...and she's in foal...here are some pics...we've only had her since easter sunday...but it seems she is picking up a tiny bit of weight...we've been feeding 2 full scoops of mare and foal 3 times a day/as per veterinarian. plus alfalfa....so I hope she fattens up just like yours did.

I was wondering also...is it possible that a QH that is under 2, with a flabby butt....not muscled, will develop the big butt later on?? he really seems to have no muscle. I gelded him before he was one (like 9-10 months old) and I was wondering if that affects his height and muscle tone?

this is 3-26 this is 4-2

When you geld a horse does have some bearing on their height and muscle tone. It is said that if you geld earlier, your horse will be taller and less muscled whereas if your horse is gelded late he may not make as tall and he will fill out more.
Your horse's butt should fill out as he matures and you will also be able to increase his musle tone when he is older and you start to work him.
