Quite a few of the Gypsy breeders I found out braid the manes and put little "mane bags", (same as a tail bag, but smaller) on the individual braids.

Oooh, I thought I recognized that mare. I saw her at Equine Affaire 2006. Here's her page:

I talked to the owner and she said they keep it braided all the time so it doesn't get all tangled and messed up.

i have always loved that horse...if i remember right a while back a memeber said that she was hermare....but either way she is amazig

Do you really like manes that long? I think it covers up their pretty necks! And can you imagine doing *anything* with a horse with a mane that long? trying to drive it and getting the mane all caught it in the reins, trying to ride it and becoming entangled in it's tentacles at the canter.

Here are some pictures of Rockin Dobbin. He is a Rocky Mountain Horse. I fell in love with him every since I saw him in a magazine.

Ewww....its amazing how long it is, but I think it looks ugly once its that extreme. But different folks like different things...
