Simply AMAZING at the lifespan of these horses. They were worked to death at a young age and never bred? Then why are they in the ancient chinese painting as well as the painting of the K.K.K (1900's)? They must be very slow-maturing creatures...possibly an Italian Warmblood strain. Those guys have LOONG backs.

one of the pictures that has a dog in it, the dog has an elongated back as well, and is too big to be a weiner dog. It was definately elongated (the picture), an animal with a back like that, simply couldn't support weight, and most likely not be able to jump either.

I had a QH mare I showed as a kid.. three people could sit on her comfortably, without the last person ending up on her bum... she had a reallly long back... I'll have to dig up a pic!
