![]() | Logic Girth I was wondering about a girth like this for my mare. She is the girty type and I was wondering if it would make a difference in her comfort. Her saddle is ok as I just got a new one that fits perfect. http://www.countysaddlery.com/html/a...cessories.html |

| Senior Member+ | Those are really nice girths. Wish I owned one. Can't say whether it would help a girthy horse though.

![]() | I have a fleecy girth too, but i was just wondering as sometimes we have the problem where the saddle gets pulled down on to her withers and the girth says it stops that from happening... |

| Senior Member+ | That's an awful lot of money to spend when you aren't really sure if that is the reason for your horse to act girthy. I think you would be better off paying to have a saddle fitter and chiro out. Find out the reason for the girthyness and fix the problem through them. In the end they may tell you a girth like this will help but there may be other problems going on too that this girth will not help with. |

| Senior Member+ | Indie, I just bought a used prestige version for dressage : http://www.trumbullmtn.com/Other_Pag.../drsg_grth.htm Used was cheaper. And for a long girth, I'm trying to find the one you're looking at, used. I want it for one of the same reasons you do, though my horse isn't girthy (I trained that out of him) he is tough for saddle fitting. His heart girth is very forward, but his saddle needs to be placed well back to clear his sweeping shoulders. Saddles tend to get dragged forward after he works up a sweat. I just bought mine, so I haven't tried it yet. good luck.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've had good luck with the Logic-style girths on various types of horses, though I find it's more helpful with saddle slippage (forward and, to some degree, side-to-side) than with girthiness. Having had both long and short style County Logics, though, I prefer some of the "knock-offs" even to the original. For the long girth, I've tried several brands (County, Ronja, Equi-bette, and a few others) and like the Toulouse best: http://www.smartpakequine.com/Produc...eCategory=true In the short (dressage) version, I've gone through quite a few as well (County, KL Select, Ronja, Hulsebos) and prefer the Prestige Anatomic, hands down: http://www.vtosaddlery.com/Merchant2...Category_Code= As an added bonus, both of the above tack shops do offer flat rate shipping, and VTO has 25% Off sales a couple of times each year. It brings the Prestige girth down to about $108 new, which is considerably less painful than the County Logic price. |
