I am just curious for those who have spent their time showing their lack of compassion and raging against Mexicans in particular I have the question.

How much time and effort have you spent taking this to the people who can change things. This would start with your elected members. Your agencies. Your local newspapers?

I find things to whinge about. Like the telephone co that has been ginning around for the last 6 months about fixing my phone. That one is being investigated by a higher authourity.

I see no point in just whinging. You need to remove digits and whinge to the right people in the right way to change things.

ok see that is where YOU have it wrong. we aren't raging against the Mexicans. The Mexicans are raging against the USA. Those of us who oppose illegal immigration oppose illegal chinese, Canadians, Koreans, Cubans, Mexicans, Middle eastern individuals etc. Race is NOT the issue, being illegal, commiting fraud and itentity theft, Protesting AGAINST the country they are living and working illegally and other crimes are the issue.

And Yes I spend a GREAT deal of time talking to every one from the county commissioners on up to state representatives to federal representitives to radio news reporters etc.

I don't know how it is everywhere else, but here in western NC, if it wasn't for all the illegal mexicans (no I'm NOT racist, it's just that the only illegal immigrants here happen to all be mexican, if there's any other ethnic group I'm leaving out, they're either here legally or I haven't seen them while I've lived here) jobs would be a lot easier to find and would pay better.
I agree with whoever made the statement about being "grouped with the rest of the Caucasians"... here, when people apply for jobs, they either have to be black, hispanic, or asian to "know" that you're guaranteed a job. Most small business owners and anyone else who can get away with paying cash just hires a groups of illegal mexicans to do the job for $3 an hour. Ultimately, it's ruining the economy here.
And for the public housing comment someone made - go to your local "ghetto" or "projects" and SEE who's there... If it's anything like here, you may see one or two white families that need help that's struggling by in one, and the rest will be immigrants (and/or drug dealers)... with the lease holder being a legal immigrant - and his or her's 8 to 10 other relatives secretly living there too after sneaking across the border.
I was born a poor child, and I'm now probably still considered "below average or poor" on the economic ladder. I HAVE went a week without a decent meal, and I had to work through my teenage years (starting at 13) while going through school to pay the bills because my alcoholic, drug addict mother couldn't provide for us. Now I have 2 children, and my husband, which is a combat veteran, and none of us recieve any kind of "help" from this gov't. Not help with healthcare or anything - and we know a family that makes MORE money than us, who gets heating bill assistance, healthcare benefits, AND food stamps... just coincidence that they're all mexican, huh?
I can go on, but if I do, everyone will call me a racist, which I'm not, and it'll just upset me... I have nothing against any person or family who wishes to make a better living for their families or themselves, as long as they come over here the LEGAL way, pay the same TAXES, and LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH! Would you consider moving to Mexico without learning to speak spanish? Or Germany without learning to speak German? It really gets to me sometimes that when we go shopping, almost every product out there has to have labels in english AND spanish... where do we live again??? And even the cartoons my kids watch... Dora the explorer, Go Diego Go, Handy Manny to name a few... and they're all hispanic characters who try to teach kids new words in spanish! I don't know about you, but my children live in America, and English is the only language that I think they need to learn, if they want to learn another language in high school when they're older, well, that's up to them.

GROESBECK, Texas — A Central Texas woman was recuperating at a Temple hospital after she reported being run off a rural road, kidnapped and then raped and beaten by her abductors, authorities said.
The 18-year-old woman was in stable condition Thursday following surgery. She had walked and crawled a half-mile to find help after her abductors left her for dead along a highway early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Illegal Aliens Bring A Taliban Culture To America
In addition to the more permissive and irresponsible attitudes on drinking and driving held by many Hispanic illegal aliens, the Washington Post reported in a June 2002 article, In Mexico, an Unpunished Crime, there is a"machismo culture," instilled through what is learned in the home, school and church, that has allowed many men to "believe they are superior and dominant, and that a woman is an object."
“when it comes to punishing sexual violence against women, surprisingly little has changed in a century. In many parts of Mexico, the penalty for stealing a cow is harsher than the punishment for rape.”

“Family Values”: Illegal Aliens and Their Sex Crimes

On April 29, 2005, an illegal alien from Guatemala, Ronald Douglas Herrera Castellanos, was power washing a deck at the Nagle home.
what police found in the bedroom was reminiscent of the Manson murders, “a scene out of a horror movie.”
Herrera slashed Nagle with a green-handled box cutter, cutting off a piece of her earlobe, and nearly amputated a finger as she tried to defend herself. Hanks of hair lay about the blood-spattered scene.
Herrera raped Nagle for 30 minutes, beat her “almost beyond recognition,” one newspaper reported, and mutilated her genitals.
Then, he changed into her husband’s clothes and, using her cell phone, called 51 of her friends and relatives to threaten them or describe the deeds in pornographic detail.

n December, in Fontana, California, an illegal alien kidnapped, raped, and sodomized a four-year-old girl, then tossed her over a six-foot wall. The Press-Enterprise of Riverside reported that, in addition to suffering three facial fractures, “the child required surgery to repair damage caused by the rape and sodomy.” In Gainsville, Florida, in June that year, an illegal alien, whose nom de crime is “Revolver,” raped and strangled four-year-old Esmerelda Nava.

Illegal aliens are also partial to gang rape, as an 18-year-old woman in Immokalee, Florida, found out in October 2005. Fourteen illegal aliens dragged her from her home into a residence across the street. They choked her until she passed out, then awakened her by pouring alcohol into her mouth. After the feral gang raped her, they pushed her out the door. They arrogantly stayed at the scene until police arrived to arrest them.

In 2002, a gang of illegals raped and sexually tortured a woman for three hours near Shea Stadium in New York before police interrupted the attack. They ravaged her like a “pack of wild wolves,” she wrote in a letter to New York Supreme Court Justice Randall Eng.

And in Klamath Falls, Oregon, in August 2002, an illegal immigrant, Maximiliano C. Esparza, attacked two nuns as they were walking along a bike path, praying the rosary.
Head-butting one of them, he used their rosaries to choke them while he raped them. When he was finished killing Sr. Helen Chaska, the sacramental was embedded in her neck.
Liquored up at a strip bar before the crime, Esparza, like many illegals, had a record of violent crime and had been deported.
Just months before Esparza raped and murdered Sister Helen, the Border Control had detained and released him.

Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute conducted a year-long study of 1,500 illegals who committed sex crimes between 1999 and 2006.

Assuming an illegal population of 12 million, and using immigration and prison records, she calculated that two percent of apprehended illegal aliens are sex criminals, meaning some 240,000 illegal-alien sex criminals are now in the United States.

And “this translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day.”

The 1,500 criminals attacked 5,999 people, about four victims each.

If 240,000 illegal-alien sex criminals are here, with four victims each, Kauflin calculates 960,000 victims over the seven years studied.

In short, thanks to our government’s failure to enforce immigration laws, illegal-alien sex fiends likely victimized one million people between 1999 and 2006.
Thirty-five percent of the criminals were child molesters, 24 percent were rapists, and 41 percent were sex and serial murderers.

Eighty-one percent were on booze or dope when they committed their crimes.

And, in 22 percent of the sex crimes, illegal aliens attacked the physically and mentally disabled.

paintedquarters.... I do'nt want to stir the pot more than it has been already, but the news has a way of focusing on the bad and overseeing the good. I'm sure that there are many crimes similar to those above that have been comitted by people that are citizens of the country. Just because it makes the news, and supports one ideology - that illegal immigrants are bad news doesn't mean one should base their sole opinion on it. Just food for thought.

Exactly. Of course there are some "bad" illegal immigrants who do terrible things like that, but there are just as many "legal" citizens who do things like that every day as well. You can't judge a whole group by a few bad apples.

The Canadian comments were NOT directed at you Adam. And for the record my Grandfather was a General in WWII, my Great Uncle in the Air Force and my nephew did 2 tours in Iraq, my father is 90 had a pacing defibrulator put in at Thanksgiving only to have to go BACK in and have a lead reattached... IE open him back up and all but do the surgery again... this is 6 years after loosing my Mother to Colon cancer and watching her waste away to nothing and being force fed by tube.... and she died ONE MONTH before my wedding... and one week before my bridal shower. I bought a truck the day she died and didn't even get to show it to her. We all have hard times Adam, but to say you've worked harder than any teenager should have to? Tell that to my parents. They lived through the depression and WERE the ones bringing in the money for their families. They literally walked up hill both ways in bad weather to get an education and make something of themselves. When my father retired he was the National Vice President of a VERY sucessful Ag Chem company. Now THAT's working more than any teen should... and he's got something to show for it. And you're sorely wrong if you think doing something illegal is "ok" as long as it's "for the betterment of a family". To me that's no different than a bum on the street corner saying it's ok for him to steal food and stand on a corner with a sign than it is to go to a Food bank and to the DES office that will help you get a job. It's the lazy way out. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. And yes, youth may not equal igornace, but you've got a LOT of growing up to do. I've been in your shoes as have many of the people here and you will find out when you reach my age and older, being that Im only in my 30s, that hindsight is 20/20....

We were only able to get an adjustable mortgage rate, and because of the current mortgage crisis we are THIS close to foreclosing and being homeless. I love this country, but am I proud to be an American? Not right now.

    I work
Both my sisters work (actually one works two jobs: starbucks and as a hairstylist)
    My mother works
    And my father works.

We collectively pay the bills, yet we find that it's still a struggle to pay for groceries.

Also, my mother has SVT (a genetic heart condition), and AFib. She has had seven heart surgeries. She's only forty-five and more than 70% of her heart is plastic (pacemaker). Do you know how much insurance costs us? Did I mention that I have to go to a cardiologist to get tested for SVT?

The only help we get from the government is my father's military retirement.

I live just an hour and half away from the border, have busted my *** more than any other teenager should have to, and have gone a month just eating pancakes because that's all we could afford. I think I'm IN the big picture.

The worst part is that I had to stop riding completely because I couldn't afford it. The Stable was the ONE place I could go and forget about reality. Now I'm stuck on the otherside of the window, looking at the one thing that's made me happy for as long as I can remember.

So, maybe it's just my situation, but I can sympathize with anyone who struggles for a better living, albeit black, white, or ILLEGAL.
