Linebred?

What do you guys think of this potential breeding? This would be considered line breeding, correct? But with enough distance to be okay?

This stallion (in green) had some really rare traits for our breed, they are traits I want to breed for, and can't get through crossing with other lines, so am contemplating this match.

Doesn't look too be that close, I'd go for it if the stud has the attributes you want.

Diva's dad was ALSO her grandsire, THAT is too close. heh

Yes, I'd go for that. They're actually further back than a lot of great linebred crosses that have done well. What are the bad traits though?

I would not see it as a problem. Arabians do similar breedings all the time with good success.

If both the horses you are breeding have the conformation, temperaments, and traits you want, I would go for it myself.

There is not enough of the pedigree filled in to do a statistical analysis of the pedigree, but it does not look too close.

I think you will be ok. It should be far enough back.

I agree with Little Red Dun...I think that you would be fine with this cross. Especially if they do have the trait, characteristics, temperment and Confo you want. You are either gonna get the best of the best or the worst of the worst.

Provided everthing else is good about him I wouldn't worry.

If you want to see some "linebreeding" go to Buck Shott H Appaloosa or The Riddler H Appaloosa
