There's a poll asking that when you take lessons do you bring your own helmet, barn provides it OR helmets aren't required.

*oh and I voted provide my own AND the barn provides because all the barns I've ever lessoned at have helmets the riders can borrow if they don't have their own.

I bring my own, but for those students who don't have them (or forget their own), the barn has helmets to borrow.

I provide helmets to my students. Usually once they've commited to riding longer term they choose to buy their own. When they get to the point where they are showing, they buy their own show helmets.

I put the barn and I provide my own because like others said : you have your own you use it, dont have your own you can borrow one.

I know you didnt ask this but that goes for all lessons students and tack. The barn provides all tack for those who dont have it.

I've only seen beginner barns offer helmets, but at the more advanced places they sometimes don't. Although, by the time you move to a more advanced barn, you have your own helmet.

If you want to start a barn for beg. and inexperienced riders, I would def provide helmets.

I bring my own, but ifI ever forgot it, I'm sure my trainer would not mind lending me one for the day.
