Lenni - welcome, at last! *pics*

I finally collected Lenni today! I've been waiting what seems like ages. I didn't have use of a trailer so I walked him over but that was ok as it was only 5.6km. The journey was pretty uneventful considering he has just sat untouched in a field for over a year. I have taken lots of pics to show you all (of course ). He's so tiny I had to buy him a shetland-sized halter .

I will be phoning the farrier tomorrow to book him for a trim, but I need to remind Lenni how to give his feet willingly. I also need to get his weight down - what a little porker! His mane also needs some taming .

I decided I would let Smartie and Lenni get used to each other over a barrier for a few days, as Smartie can be a mardi mare with other horses. However, Lenni disagreed with me and after 10 minutes he just buckled at the knees and walked right under! So I removed the barrier and let them have access to both the small and larger paddocks. Anyway, pics!...

Lenni at his owners field, as I was approaching with halter

Saying hello to Smartie across the barrier

All excited

Stopping to pose for pictures

Trotting back to see Smartie

Grazing quietly together
