![]() | I noticed about a week or so ago that my horse has a small hard bump on the inside of her front leg a little below the knee part of the leg. I have been riding her and she doesn't seem to be limping or sore or lame or anything but the bump hasn't gone down at all. I am really worried about this because I know how bad leg injuries can be! Has anyone else ever had this same problem? If so, how did you make it go away!? |

If it's hot, either ice pack it or cold hose it 1-2 times a day for a few days. If it starts to bother her, for sure call the vet, and occasionally the bone can start to irritate the suspensory ligament.

| Senior Member+ | I agree with JBandRio, I would also suggest when you ride on hard sufaces...eg concrete footpaths, roads, etc, to take it slowely...no trotting cantering....this may make things worse and can actually cause splints. |
