it's pretty beat-up and not one of today's more popular saddleseat names. In that shape, I'd expect to pay $200-300 for it.

Other than oiling it I would redye it a dark brown top and bottom. It will help camo the scratches and make the saddle look like its been loved more than it has. Smith Worthington is a well known saddle brand. What are you doing to improve the saddle as well (cleaning steps and oiling/conditioning products)?

Looks like it needs it's panels re-stuffed something fierce, with some oiling it will look better. The oil darkens and will hide a lot of the scratches. It looks like a great schooling saddle.

Does it fit you and your horse?

CP_Dude you may want to contact TackCollector for a good appraisal. The leather will darken the scratches but not camoflague them (not saying you should hide them from a potential buyer but it will make the saddle more attractive but be darker anyway since dark chocolate/havana brown is more popular right now but jmho). I don't think it needs to be restuffed since it isn't suppost to be real thick anyway (not like Dressage or Huntseat panel thick). CP_Dude you also might want to take a tooth brush and some grainy cheap toothpaste to all the buttons to get the green tarnish stuff off. And remove the name tag to clean the whole thing and to clean the leather under it. Oh I love tack projects!

CP_Dude are you wanting to resell the saddle?

Yes, i took what you told me and i need the next size up.

I'm at least going to oil it, probably re-die it. and i'll polish off the tarnish.

what do you think i can get for it?
