Easily. Mutation. Although that is probably less likely than .1 percent.

ETA:I am actually looking at a foal who looks dark/sooty buckskin but cant be, and hoping the owners have or will test.

We're all looking for a little Moon Beam or Moon Shadow. I'd even settle for an Eclips of the Moon. A New Moon, a Full Moon, how about a Cresent Moon, Is there a little Man in the Moon, A Blue Moon Over TX, any where there's a Bright Moon would be great. Where are you Moondust? Can I get a little Mooned?

Sorry guys..still waiting. This will be my last post on this thread until there is a baby born. She's nearing 10 days over due now, but her pre milk is thickening and stickier, her croup has fully softened, and her belly has v'ed out. Bless her heart, I know that if it were up to her, this baby would have been out weeks ago! If this goes on past thursday I will be calling the vet out to check her.

Moondust, I'm sure she's just fine. It's not unusual at all for a mare to go over the 12 month mark as e90style said. Did you say she's foaled before? Maybe this is just her "usual" thing. I can't wait to see the COLT!
