CJnBucksMom, people like you are one in a million. It must have been karma for that boy that he met up with you. I don't even want to think about what would have happened to him if you had not come along.

Hope he will be a diamond in the rough, though sometimes you'll find when they get food in them, and they're feeling good, some didn't get the proper training and manners. IAC, I'm glad you both found each other and he definetly looks sweet.

I really try hard to stay away from threads like this, because it just breaks my heart to see and to hear how people think they have the right to treat animals in this way.

I cannot think about the Kill Buyers and the poor horses who have to go through the auction, just praying that someone would bid on them so they can go to a loving home instead of where they are destined.......

I just can't mentally nor physically handle it. The thought of what human kind does to these hapless creatures. I stay away from auctions beacuse I cannot see it - if I had the money and the fascillity to rescue, I would - but I can only afford what I have now....and that breaks my heart. I wish I were rich to give these lives that we brought here, a 2nd chance for love and a life.

You did a good thing, I think he is absolutely beautiful and it brings tears to my eyes to see a life saved.

Oh wow thats disgraceful how people can do that to animals that are dependant on them!
And you can tell that with some love and care he will be an absolute beauty! I think it will be hard work but seeing the improvement in him will be reward enough, he will be a stunner, it may be a blessing in disguise that you have found such a magnificent animal hopefully. Please keep us updated as I would love to see himn flourish!

And that's why it is very important to remember he must have manners. The worst thing you can do right now is feel sorry for him so that he is not reprimanded for anything he may try as he starts feeling better. I have seen too many times where they pity them and allow them to obtain bad behaviors because they have been mistreated and people feel sorry for them and allow them to become a brat.

Although the way he is snuggling with you it sounds as if he is already forming a bond which will be invaluable.

Keep us updated for sure!

It breaks my heart to see horses in that condition. I see it a lot around here and I just don't understand it. The same people that let horses get in that condition are the same ones that are BYB, totally disgusting. He is lucky you were there to save him.

He is going to be a nice looking boy, can't wait to see him with some weight and a healthy coat. Good job saving him and giving him a new life
