next time you see your vet, ask. Or maybe call and see about a time you can come in and just sit for some office time and questions. I do that a bunch....(He knows when I invite him over for dinner.....he's in trouble and better bring journals for me. LMAO)

Question meanwhile? Anybody know/ recall how due/overdue the mare was? Had she gone past the 1year gest'n mark?

Depends which vet you talk to.

Vet in August said she was due in November

She bought the mare what...march 6?? mare was exposed sometime before that.....

Colt she had she got middle of April.....so mare may not have been OD at all.....

Who knows at this point....it is a toss up on due dates.

Katylynn's mare is starting to dialate. The vet is doing estrogen treatments right now. Katylynn won't hear from him till Monday so no news will be good news. This comes from Katylynn to BW to mwa. Let me know if I've missed anything Katylynn. Oh and Katy is still bright and alert! Things are still looking good

Just got home from the equine clinic. They were not able to dissect the foal cause her cervix is not opened enough and the foals neck is presented first the vet said he couldn't feel the head so not sure where it is. They are flushing her out with warm water, disenfectant and lubricant, and giving her estrogen. They also are pumping her with fluids. Her temp was still normal Yeah. He said that is very good considering what she has been through. I took her 2 apples tonight and she ate till she didn't want anymore. He will check again tomorrow and if there are any changes for the worse he will call me other wise I will have to wait till Monday to hear anything. Thank you all again for all your support, prayers and well wishes. Where would I be w/o all of you. I talk very highly of this forum and recommend it to any horse person.
