I have looked at Trakes often in my spare time, and Windfall would be a dream come true!
I have run across Acorn Hill before (first time I considered an ISH) and LOVE Carlow Clover. His wither would be perfect to compliment my mare, and I think overall they would cross well. If only . . . that's the problem with the hypothetical breeding--it makes me wish! No worries, wishing and decisions are completely separate entities, but if I could wish . . . Windfall or Carlow Clover would be high on the list!

Anybody want to lease a nice TB mare for breeding and then give the foal back to me (and the mare, of course!)? Drool . . . keep 'em coming, this is fun!

The pic is of her as a two year old.

How do you define a horse as well boned? Like my Tb mare has been mistaken multiple times as a QH or an appendix. But I believe she is fine boned. Perhaps she is just very feminine which makes me think fine boned?

Here is a pic (sorry to hijack the thread JK just curious as how you define what is or isn't heavy boned)
(click the pics to enlarge)

When someone who is H/J oriented (as in, not you stock people! ) I think of "bone" as being heavy bone structure, which can be seen by comparing the diameter of the cannons.

Whoever mentioned Coconut Grove... *whistles* that horse is something!

No prob, lilrider. I haven't measured my horse's cannons, but just by eyeballing it she is SIGNIFICANTLY larger than most TBs and the largest of any I've seen. She doesn't have that lean TB look, but rather looks like a WB on the ground or on the flat. She's very well proportioned--she just looks like a WB, which is why I would hesitate to cross her with something heavy (like RID). She's very heavy by breed standards (is there such a thing as a "heavy" gene?--if so, she has it), which means she won't refine a heavier stud like an average TB would.

See to me she looks like a typical Tb. Your mare that is. But that's just by those pics.

I will have to measure Dreamers cannon bones tomorrow

I know those pics look like a TB, but trust me--she really looks like a WB (my old vet in GA and two here in OR were all shocked when they found out she was TB--they all thought WB, as have numerous other professionals and non-pros).
