Just back from my daughters college show

The stuff we do for our kids – I just spent 4 days up at my daughters college after hauling her horse up for the school to use at the show (my horse is already up there) she needed someone to warm them up before the show as she couldn’t warm up her own horses.

She had a pretty good show finished with a 2nd – 2 3rd and I think a 4th

In the class she got 2nd her own horse beat her! Talk about the luck of the draw.

Our two are Western Pleasure horses (been shown & won lots) and the people that drew them were pretty excited about it – if they would listen and get out of their faces they had good rides – there was one that drew my daughters horse and won the class she came out all surprised about winning and said she had never won a class – I was thinking umm you are mounted on a horse worth about $15,000 because of all the training he has. Others that drew him and did not leave his face alone ended up in the bottom of the class if they even placed (yes we kind of know what our horses like and don’t like!)

All in all it was a great time but I sure am not cut out for dorm life!

I don't have any pictures from this show but here is one from the last show - she ended up high point rider on Sat (sorry I am a proud Mom)

You're allowed to be a proud mama, its all us show moms get yanno!

Congrats on your daughters show, and from one show mom to another, now that you're home, have a stiff drink and a warm bath!

How did you know the first thing I did after getting the horse put away was have a nice soak in the tub!

Was dreaming of it almost all the way home - about a 2 hour drive.
