o.k well firstly you need to putthem stirrups by a few holes then you will need to work on the flat a bit to get used to the length working in the 2 point position

then when you get to jumping you need to try and go with the horse as at the minute you are over jumping this isnt a huge issue now but on bigger jumps it will be a big problem

When you are first learning to jump, height should not be what youre worried about first. You should be learning to position your body to help your horse over the fence and through a course. I would start with bringing your toes forward, see how yours are pointed out, raise your irons up a good few holes...it looks like you have a decent seat, your instructor will probably explain about releases when you are jumping, so that will eventually come as you work with your horse. she looks like she is a very willing partner and once the height increases, you will notice her knees will snap up a bit more than they will over a little jump like this, but like I said, worry first about learning to jump yourself and your horse will come along as you learn. Best of luck! Have fun!!

That will help tighten her knees and help you follow her movement. Make sure you're comfortable with a single fence/line first through
was also going to suggest ground poles!

I would also at the begining of every jumping session do some pole work before going over an actual jump too. Nice to see you starting low as well and not pushing for too much too soon. If you're both doing that confidently then go for putting it up!

Once you've had a few lessons I think you'll both be well on your way!
