| Senior Member+ | What exactly does it do? Is it meant to hold the saddle higher off the horses withers? Tino is extremely skinny and very high withered. The smallest saddle we bought is STILL a little too big for him. So we need a little extra something to make him comfortable. If this wedge isnt meant to do that can you please give me some suggestions? -Mary Honora

| Senior Member+ | My understanding is that it's more for cushioning, so the saddle feels nicer on the horse's back. I use something similar on my pony because I don't have a pony-sized girth, but my horse-sized one will fit with the extra padding
