My parents were here visiting me over Thanksgiving. They had been in Switzerland in September and decided to stop in here on their way home. They were here for a week but over the long weekend we rented a car and drove around the province. Cape Breton is especially nice during fall because of all the colours.

All I ever do these days is lounge on my futon and read book after book. I feel like a little mole when I emerge out of my room after countless hours of burrowing into one of these books: all blinking and blurry-eyed.

well, i'm back at school again.
my classes all seem great. i'm excited. it's going to be a tough year but I'm game. this is the year that counts. this is the year that defines my future career.
i wish i didn't have to get lonely. i wish i could just stick my head down, absorb myself in work, and not care that I don't ever talk to anyone or do anything.
