Not here, but Am.

Posted 07-29-2008 at 10:15 AM by zorse
HGS is a very different place. I don't know it anymore. I'm not sure if it is because Hannah isn't here anymore, or if it is because I went away, or if it is because all of these changes confuse me and make it have a different face, but something has been lost; it's not the same anymore and I very much doubt it will ever be again.
I'm really not sure why I'm even writing in this blog. I don't think anyone remembers me on here. Which is OK. Blogging on here has always been kind of nice though....

3 Days in Grand Canyon

Posted 06-03-2008 at 07:53 PM by zorse
7 things I learned in 3 days in the Canyon:

1) My God is amazing!
2) Geology is hokey.
3) I can be in awe without a camera in hand (and more so even).
4) I am in love with the Canyon.
5) I want to do this for the rest of my life.
6) Lizards are nifty cool.
7) Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

New Horse Trailer

Posted 05-14-2008 at 09:38 PM by zorse
We just bought a new horse trailer. As in, about half an hour ago. We've been looking for a new one for a little while. We have a great Logan 2HS that we love but it is starting to get pretty rusty in the front from rock chips so we were going to have to put quite a bit of money into fixing it up. We thought that instead of putting the money into fixing this one, we'd sell it and put the money toward a new one (well, not new new, but newer). Since we have so many horses (8 last time I counted),...

Going to Arizona!! Grand Canyon!!

Posted 05-07-2008 at 09:55 AM by zorse
Yep, that's right, I'm GOING!!!!
It's actually really strange. I cannot believe that I'm going (But didn't I always say that I would?)

So here's the low-down on the past few days.
I worked Fri-Sun at the golf course. Sat and Sun were pretty crazy because I had to clean Jan's (my dressage coach's) barn before work, and the golf course is 45 min in the other direction. So basically Sat and Sun are my lovely 13 hr days where I'm out the door by 6:30 am...

First Day on the Job

Posted 05-02-2008 at 07:01 PM by zorse
Am I strange to feel guilty for profiting from the careless rich?

After a day (10.5 hours) on the job, I'm pretty sure I nabbed a pretty swell summer job. I don't have supervisors, I have my own cash float, my own inventory, and I do my own thing all day. I load up my cart, and then for the rest of the day drive around the course, stopping for people who want something to drink. Then when I get sick of driving, I stop the cart at a junction and sit there, in the sun, reading my book,...
