Xiphias and Cathy, day to day

It was beautiful out today, we had a terrible storm last evening, there were tornados south of here that knocked down alot of big shade trees, that smashed into some homes.. ..I am glad I don't have large trees close to my home! The news said no one was hurt, that is good, we are not used to tornados here in Maryland! I went out and pulled Xiphias's mane today, it was getting shaggy again....I wish my hair would grow that fast! Funny thing, her forlock never grows...

Peppers! I just got done picking all the Cherry peppers, Sweet Bell peppers,Tai peppers, and Jalapeno peppers, that I grew . I got a bunch in the dehydrator. I have a friend who is going to make me some jalapeno jelly! yum! I still have all the Red Hot Chili Peppers to pick, and Cayanne (sp?) peppers too. I dehydrate all of the peppers, and put them in the blender, and make my own hot pepper mix my hands are on fire again....maybe I should wear rubber gloves when I...

Can ya tell I am happy? My loan is signed and all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed! Now to meet with the contractor next week to get things rolling! It will be like living in a new house.... Now to figure out how to buy new furniture for the bedroom and living room...I don't want much... but nice quality, leather, the kind that lasts forever, and one of them can't think of the name of...memory foam matteresses, a king size of course I guess I will have to start saving...

Well it has been a while! I was going to make a thread, but decided that writing in my journal would be better! Summer has come and gone! I have been busy, working on getting the USDA Rural Development loan, so we can have all the work done on the house. Boy when you are dealing with the government, they can be picky! BUT! today we close on the loan, and the contractor can come out and start working on the house! I will have plummers, electricians, painters, drywall...

Hummm where did the time go? forgot about my journal! Let's see, there has been snow on the ground here now for over a week, and it is cold! not even 20 degrees F yet today, no sunshine either, so it is cold in the house even with the wood stove burning.. ..my fingers are freezing! They say it is going to be nasty tomarrow, snow, sleet, and freezing rain! got to go and feed the wood stove again...later!
