So! After the 4 hottest days of the year..... Posted 06-10-2008 at 11:42 PM by Xiphias I come back to find that the forum has had some major renovations, all good ones too! Thank you Admin, love the changes! It's been in the high 90's and very humid, I have been hiding in the coolest part of my house, the basement/den! it's a good 20 degrees cooler down there, but no computer, have to figure out how to put a splitter on my cable line, and hook up my old computer down there Poor Xiphias has not been loving the heat, she just stands... What good it did to give her a bath! Posted 10-19-2006 at 11:19 PM by Xiphias So yesterday I gave Xiphias a nice bath, and I put her out front in the grassy paddock all night...this morning I bring her in, to the back paddock, and feed, and go to Baltimore....nothing like driving down a 4 lane highway with crazy people! So I get home to find my horse covered head to toe in mud! I spent an hour cleaning her up, so I could blanket her, as it was calling for rain tonight, and it is pouring out there now, and I know she is happy to have... Continue reading... Xiphias got her last bath of the year today.... Posted 10-19-2006 at 04:10 AM by Xiphias I took advantage of the nice 73 degree weather and gave Xiphias her last bath of the year, she seemed to enjoy it.... after today it will get cold again, and I think that it will not get warm in the 70's again till spring.... I have to drive Rod to Baltimore today, he has to see the ortho about his back again....I hope they have the MRI that they took the last time we were down there....I just love going into the Big City! Up before the sun! Posted 10-10-2006 at 07:46 PM by Xiphias So with the new fall schedule of turning Xiphias out at night, in the big front paddock, that has not been used all summer, I am up before the sun, she don't like to be out there after dawn, for some odd reason.. .I go out as soon as I see her at the corner of the fence, she starts to pace the fence, and has a nice track worn.. ..I lead her to the back paddock, and give her breakfast, she eats, and moseys back to the barn....I can turn her back out there around 2 pm, and she will stay... Doing the Happy Dance!!! Posted 10-04-2006 at 06:28 PM by Xiphias Well we signed the papers for the contractor, and he said they will start nov. 1st !!! Now I really got to get packing, and going through stuff that I want to get rid of.... I am a pack rat, and have loads of things to go through and get rid of...Contractor said that it will take about 3 months to finish the renovations, and here I thought, they would get it done before christmas wishful thinking, oh well, I will have a nice christmas party next year! maybe by...
