Wow, a crazy start to my day!

My family and I are vacationing in Aspen, CO, and I woke up to quite a surprise this morning. Several surprises, actually!
Around 5:30am, there was a strange flickering noise, and then a big "BOOM!". I jumped quickly out of bed, and wasn't surprised when the lamp by my bed didn't work. I continued over to the wall to try the light switches, and none of them worked. Great... it was pitch black and there was no electricity.
I was sleeping in the basement in one of the guest rooms because I am petrified of the bears, and refuse to sleep in my bedroom because it is on the main level with two doors and windows all around. I've seen bears right outside my window before.
Since I was in the basement, there was no light coming in from outside, so with a little bit of help from my dogs (Well.... not sure if they helped or hurt... but they were there!) I made it to the top of the stairs to the entry level of the house.
The first thing I noticed was the loud, angry voice of my mother up on the top floor. I rolled my eyes knowing that she always has something to complain about. I ran into my closet, and threw on some clothes, and then ran upstairs to the top floor. I made it to the top floor and was shocked when I couldn't see but 3 inches outside. I couldn't figure out what was going on!
I walked up closer to the window and realized that it was SNOWING! Not just snowing, but blizzarding like crazy! I think my jaw dropped to the ground when I saw all of the snow IN THE MIDDLE OF JUNE!
Of course, I'm from Oklahoma, so ANY snow is exciting to me, but I was just shocked to see it this time of year!
I grabbed my dogs and ran outside with them to grab the news paper for my mom who was still on the phone calling my dad who just got home from Italy with my brother and is coming to Aspen tomorrow, the builder of the house, the electric company, the house caretaker (Looks after the house when we're not here) and who knows who else!!!
It is now 11:55 and we still have no lights, but everything else is working. I'm headed to the barn in about an hour to ride, and I'm sure Premiere is going to be NUTS from the huge weather change! Haha!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
