I am finally going to start a journal. Just because I feel like it. I suck at journals and this will probably only be updated and bored and believe I have othing better to do (although that is not the case, there is always something 'better' I could be doing).

This weekend my pony club is hosting a show. It has 40 hack classes and 13 jump classes. Which reminds me, I want to start a thread on Horse Chat, asking people to post their show programs. I'm still a little confused about the whole hunter, jumper, equitation thingy, and mostly what classes on the flat are called. And, I think it would be interesting to see how the classes are set out in a competition program and such.

Always fun comparing the differences between countries!

Anyway, I'm going to hack Manny. I don't want to jump him, because I think he would get too stirred up going in 5 jumping classes in the one day. At ODE's it's fine, I just do the one showjump course and it's over...but at a show like this, he's going to be saddle up for a lot longer. So, I'm going to hack.

Our classes include...Fancy Dress! At 18 years of age I am finally going in my first every fancy dress. I hope I'm not the only over 15yo there, although I probably will be. We're going as a racehorse. Boring I know but it's a pretty easy costume. I'm just going to wear my eventing silks, have Manny is a racing saddle (I'm just going to be leading him ) and stick a number on my saddle pad etc.

I may also go in Led Galloway or Hack over 14hh.

My other classes are Rider 18 years and over, Maiden Hack, Intermediate Hack, Hack over 16hh, Lightweight Hack over 16hh, Open Hack over 15hh and Pleasure Hack over 15hh.

Hopefully he'll be better behaved than his last hack show!!!

Right right, have to go and ride said horsie now. It's raining on and off, hopefully it wont be raining too heavy tomorrow while I'm trying to wash him! Aaaaand as I type it starts raining heavier. And mum has just yelled out that she's not coming. Awwww. No fun.
