UPDATE!!! :D

Hey guys! I never added anymore did I? Oops.
Um, since then, a lot's happened!!
One of the biggest changes is my horse Beau died this March. He passed while we were away at a show--my brother was feeding for us and found him. We think he just layed down and went to sleep. He was about 20 or 21, so I guess he'd lived a fairly long life, but I still miss him and think about him every single day. I glance at his grave each time I'm at the barn and whisper how much I love him still, even though I know he's up in the sky somewhere chasing cows.
It was really hard on me when he passed away because he's the first horse I've had to let go of. One thing he did to make it easier was going on his own accord and not leaving us with the decision of having to put him down. I love you Beau-Beau!

Another big change--I have a new horse!
Purrfect Tide, or Buster(or Boo!) as we call him, is a registered 9 year old, 15.3hh-ish half Arab, half QH, that my grandmother bred, owned, and gave to me. I've known this horse practiaclly since he was born, and I've always loved him! He was not your typical 2 year old--calm as could be, nothing phased him. Then, he ended up at a trainer's place where he got messed up somehow, and even though he got some beneficial training there, mentally he wasn't the same upon leaving. HOWEVER, he's "coming back", as we say!
I show him huntseat on the flat, and we started jumping recently. Soon I want to try cross country, because I really think we'd both enjoy it. He's been my project lately, and he's come a LOOOOOONG way since December!

We have a donkey now!! His name is Alex, and he's not quite 2.
We got him last September from a friend, and he's been a lifesaver! Buddy, our clyde cross, doesn't like to stay alone, and has a knack for crashing through or jumping over gates when he's by himself, so Alex has become a wonderful companion for him! Without him, it'd be nearly impossible to take Buster to shows. According to Buddy, the goat just doesn't cut it as a companion.

Dancer is on a lease with a family with a little girl right now, since I outgrew him for showing, and we didn't really need to have (at the time when I got Buster) 4 horses. I don't want to sell Dancer, since he's my first horse and I just love him to death, so he's on this lease with this family that we know with this little girl that loves him. It was a really hard decision for me at first, because I just didn't want him gone, but I've gotten used to it now, and I know he's quite content.
He doesn't have any horses in the pasture with him, but there are 2 right across the fence from him, so he's not totally isolated.
I'm a senior in high school this year, and I'm trying to figure out how high school went by so fast! You know how everyone always says "It'll be gone before you know it,"? Well, they weren't lying. It's almost gone, and in a way it's a huge relief, and in a way, I'm sitting here thinking my life is going by WAY too fast. My best friend graduated last year, and this year won't be the same without her around. Last year I was elected president of our FFA for this year, but the Ag. teacher, who was our FFA sponsor, moved away, and now I've heard rumors that there isn't a replacement, which means they could try to say no FFA, but if I can do anything about it, there will be an FFA!
We'll just have to see...
Well...That's all for now...So hopefully I'll keep up with this journal a little better than I was!
