Chick has started at a new barn for riding lessons. I have decided that I need for someone else to teach her the basics and then when we get another horse here at home I will continue her with the lessons - but then she can ride our horse in between at home.

I rode along with her last week - but to be honest arena work is not for me - I felt like a pleb - especially on a horse that I had zero connection with - so riding for me will have to wait.

Oh well.........

She was awful last night getting her loaded up - it just quantified my decision that she is not a safe horse for my family to be around. 50 mins and then she finally gave up and hopped in.

It feels really weird here today without a horse on premise - but it won't be long and I can start shopping again.

I feel bad for the horse - becuase she obviously has a screw loose, but at the end of the day I can;t have an unpredicatable horse around and she was not sold to me as...

.....I actually considered selling Indy and sending the goat back and NOT getting another horse and just going and riding once a week and not having a horse here.

This has all just been so stressful - I am kinda sad inside. This shouldn;t be this hard.

... in how I feel now that Tally is gone.

Indy and I are really bonding - there is so much less work - I am not stressed about the cost of two horses.

I am so starting to finally enjoy this again.

Tally and I never bonded - in fact she really irritated me - she quite obviously hated it here - biting the barn at feeding time - stargazing when I was riding or longing her.

I haven;t ridden Indy since Tally left - the weather has been too horrid...

Well - what a busy weekend we had. All of the posts are up for the runa dn conccreted in. All of the posts for the round pen are up and concreted in.

The run is all raked out - ready for the grass seed.

And we hung some of the fence. It looks way better than I thought it would. It doesn;t look intrusive in our yard at all - we were worried that it would look a bit trashy - but it looks great.

The ATV came in really handy - much as I hate to admit it...
