Today's Ride

Well todays ride went well for the most part.
My niece rode Dandy and I of course rode Trouble. We worked them for 60minutes in the field. 40minutes was walking around, mostly on a loose rein but I did ask Trouble to do circles and practice turning and stopping. 20minutes was trotting. (In 5minute sessions) We practiced doing large circles and turning while trotting. Plus we did a few figure eights. She really wanted to break into a canter several times but we just aren't ready for that yet.
After she threw me I just get really nervous at just the thought of riding her so getting her to walk/trot is good for now. I want to make sure we have everything down before attempting to canter.
My niece seems to be doing ok with Dandy. He does like to push is luck. But she's handling him pretty well.
I worked with Bandit today. He was so well. I took him out to graze in the yard while I groomed him. After I finished grooming him we practiced walking nicely, which he did GREAT. We also practiced stopping to the word whoa. Also he remembers to back up. I taught him that 10+ months ago before giving him back and he still remembers!!
Over all all 3 horses done very well today. I'm happy. Now if only Splash would be a good mini to work with. I think Im going to give him back. Him and I just don't click. Didn't last time either but I thought giving him a week or two mayb he'd come around but I dont think him and I are going to get along. Not to mention he is really really really buddy sour. He freaked out when I took Bandit away. He ran around the pasture hollering.
