Life on a quarter horse farm...
Still not pooping
Well since the enema she hasn't pooped at all. I'm worried so I called the vet to come out again and take a look.
She seems happy enough, and has gained a lot of weight. She runs and bucks around the paddock each morning and afternoon and is nibbling on grass. So I am not sure what is happening.
On foalcam last night I saw she slept standing up for a fair amount of time, and pawed the ground every once in a while. maybe it's the new fresh clean bedding straw she doesn't like. It's bouncy and she had difficulty getting up on it a couple of times earlier in the day.
On a positive note, I think I found a foster mare! She's a paint who lost her foal this morning
(lethal white). She is several hours from here on agistment but they are contacting the owner. I hope the owner agrees to send her up to me.
